About Lori

Lori (seated) has been handling real estate and other ornery critters for decades.

Lori Galloway has deep Austin real estate roots, having moved here with her family in 1966. Her father, Gene Spence, was a devoted real estate broker for 30 years. During the 1970’s and 1980’s, Lori was introduced to real estate by helping her father with his business. She assisted with open houses, property management and office duties and found she really loved the business, just like her Dad.

After graduating from SMU in 1981, Lori began her career in banking as a trust officer. In 1991 she became a licensed real estate agent and return to her real estate roots.

Personal service, attention to detail, and follow up after the sale are hallmarks of Lori’s unique service. “I never want my clients to buy a home I wouldn’t want to list later, since I want my clients to be life-long customers. It takes time to find the right home. I listen to my customers and strive to find just what they are wanting. Most of the time, I accomplish that goal.”

Lori is a tennis player, mother of a teenager and wife of a pharmacist & sprinter so she knows families have busy schedules. “ I do not overload my customers with homes that don’t have the features they want. I preview homes so that I can show the properties that I think will work. Sometimes, it takes a while for the right home to come on the market -- we’re just patient. I learned from my father that there are two golden rules of real estate:

1) location, location, location 2) patience.
